for Approval of the Transport Agreement with Westcoast Energy Inc.

O  R  D  E  R

 

WHEREAS:

 

A.      On August 26, 2009 the British Columbia Utilities Commission (the “Commission”), by Letter No. L-58-09, accepted for Terasen Gas Inc. (“Terasen Gas”) the 2009/10 Annual Gas Contracting Plan; and

 

B.      On December 22, 2009 Terasen Gas filed with the Commission for acceptance an agreement for incremental firm T-North Long Haul service on the Westcoast Energy Inc. (“WEI”) T-North system (the “Agreement”) for the period September 1, 2010 to October 31, 2015; and

 

C.      The Commission has reviewed the Terasen Gas filing and is satisfied that the Transport Agreement between Terasen Gas and WEI is appropriate and in the public interest.

 

 

NOW THEREFORE pursuant to section 71 of the Utilities Commission Act and the Commission’s Rules for Natural Gas Energy Supply Contracts, the Commission accepts the Transport Agreement between Terasen Gas and WEI.
