for Approval of a Variance to Order G-123-09 for the Mitigation Plan Filing Deadline

O R D E R
WHEREAS:
A. Commission Order G-123-09 extended the Mandatory Reliability Standards filing Deadline for self-assessment reports and Mitigation Plans contained in Order G-67-09 to March 1, 2010; and
B. On January 26, 2010 Teck Metals Ltd. (Teck) applied for an extension to that date to June 15, 2010 citing work load difficulties for FortisBC Inc. (FortisBC) who is preparing the plans on behalf of Teck; and
C. On February 4, 2010 Columbia Power Corporation (CPC) applied for an extension to the filing date to June 15, 2010 citing work load difficulties for FortisBC who is preparing the plans on behalf of CPC; and
D. On February 3, 2010 British Columbia Hydro and Power Authority (BC Hydro) applied for an extension to the filing date to June 15, 2010 citing a large work load and the need for a comprehensive Mitigation Plan; and
E. Entities who have registered with the Western Electricity Coordinating Council (WECC) are unable to access the personalized WECC web portal until WECC makes a registration recommendation to the Commission and as of February 16, 2010 WECC has not completed all registration assessments; and
F. The Commission has considered the above circumstances and has determined that the deadline of March 1, 2010 for filing of Mitigation Plans as specified in Order G-123-09 should be extended.
NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders that the Mitigation Plan Filing Deadline of March 1, 2010 as specified in Order G‑123-09 is extended to June 30, 2010.
