IN THE MATTER OF

and

 

An Application by British Columbia Hydro and Power Authority for approval

of Mitigation Plans required for compliance with Mandatory Reliability Standards

O  R  D  E  R

WHEREAS:

 

A.    Commission Order G-67-09 required entities subject to approved Mandatory Reliability Standards to file Mitigation Plans outlining how they plan to comply with standards with which they were not in compliance;

 

B.      British Columbia Hydro and Power Authority filed a number of Mitigation Plans with the Western Electricity Coordinating Council (WECC).  Following its review of the Mitigation Plans, WECC has recommended certain plans to be either accepted or dismissed;

 

C.    Accordingly, WECC recommends Mitigation Plans for the following standards be accepted:

 

  CIP-002-1 R1, R2, R3, R4 (Subject to sections 5.2, 5.4 and 5.5 of the Compliance Monitoring Program (CMP) and a completion date of February 14, 2011);

  CIP-009-1 R1 and R4 (Subject to sections 5.2, 5.4 and 5.5 of the CMP and a completion date of December 23, 2010);

  FAC-009-1 R1 (Subject to sections 5.2, 5.4, and 5.5 of the CMP and a completion date of March 31, 2011);

 

D.    Further, WECC recommends Mitigation Plans for the following standards be dismissed:

 

  EOP-009-1 R1, R2 (no violation);

  EOP-002-2 R9 (no violation);

  EOP-004-1 R2 and R3 (no violation);

  INT-001-3 R1 (no violation).

 

E.    The Commission accepts WECC’s recommendations.

 

 

NOW THEREFORE pursuant to section 125.2 (10) of the Utilities Commission Act, the Commission accepts the WECC’s recommendations and approves the acceptance or dismissal of the Mitigation Plans, as identified above.
