for approval of Mitigation Plans required for Compliance with Mandatory Reliability Standards

O  R  D  E  R

 

WHEREAS:

 

A.       Commission Order G-67-09 required entities subject to approved mandatory reliability standards to file mitigation plans outlining how they plan to meet compliance with standards they were not in compliance with;

 

B.       The Compliance Monitoring Program approved by Order G-123-09 requires that an entity file a mitigation plan for every violation to a standard requirement and that that the Western Electricity Coordinating Council (WECC), as the Commission’s administrator, to review the mitigation plan and make a recommendation to the Commission;

 

C.       On July 20, 2011, WECC recommended the Commission dismiss proposed mitigation plan for EOP-004-1 R2 and R3 for non-violation;

 

D.       On July 21, 2011, WECC recommended the Commission dismiss proposed mitigation plans for VAR-002-1a R1, R2, R3, R4, and R5 and VAR-STD-002a-1 WR1 for non-violation.

 

 

NOW THEREFORE, pursuant to section 125.2 (10) of the Utilities Commission Act, the Commission accepts WECC recommendations and approves the dismissal of mitigation plans as listed above.
