Baseload, Seasonal and Peaking Natural Gas Supply Contracts for 2011/12

O R D E R
WHEREAS:
A. On September 19, 2011, the British Columbia Utilities Commission (Commission) by Letter L-74-11 accepted for FortisBC Energy (Vancouver Island) Inc. (FEVI) the 2011/12 Annual Gas Contracting Plan (ACP);
B. On October 25, 2011, FEVI filed with the Commission for acceptance the baseload and seasonal supply allocation between monthly and daily priced contracts as well as the monthly and daily market premiums for baseload, seasonal, and peaking transactions not yet accepted by the Commission;
C. On December 13, 2011, FEVI submitted to the Commission an amended filing, replacing the October 25, 2011 filing in its entirety, for acceptance of the baseload and seasonal supply allocation between monthly and daily priced contracts as well as the monthly and daily market premiums for baseload, seasonal, and peaking transactions not yet accepted by the Commission;
D. FEVI requests that the details of the filing be kept confidential for the reasons of commercial sensitivity as noted in the filing;
E. The Commission reviewed the FEVI filing and is satisfied that the supply allocation and the gas supply contract premiums are appropriate, and are consistent with the ACP.
NOW THEREFORE pursuant to Section 71 of the Utilities Commission Act and the Commission’s Rules for Natural Gas Energy Supply Contracts, the Commission accepts for filing the executed natural gas contracts shown in Appendix A to this Order. The Commission will keep the information in FEVI’s filing confidential.
