2011 Revenue Requirements and Consolidated Gas Sales Tariff for the PNG-West and PNG (N.E.) Service Areas

O  R  D  E  R

 

WHEREAS:

 

A.   By Orders G-92-11 and G-93-11 the British Columbia Utilities Commission (Commission) approved for Pacific Northern Gas Ltd. (PNG-West) and Pacific Northern Gas (N.E.) Ltd. [PNG(N.E.)] respectively the Negotiated Settlement Agreements for the 2011 Revenue Requirements Applications, as issued on May 20, 2011, pursuant to sections 89 and 58 of the Utilities Commission Act;

 

B.    By letter dated May 13, 2011, the British Columbia Public Interest Advocacy Centre filed a joint PNG-West and PNG (N.E.) application for a Participant Assistance/Cost Award (PACA) on behalf of its client, the British Columbia Old Age Pensioners’ Organization et al. (BCOAPO);

 

C.    By email dated June 17, 2011, Pacific Northern Gas Ltd. advised the Commission that it had reviewed the BCOAPO joint PACA Application and considered it to be reasonable and should be approved by the Commission;

 

D.   The Commission has reviewed the BCOAPO PACA Application with regard to the criteria and rates set out in Order G-72-07.

 

 

NOW THEREFORE pursuant to section 118(1) of the Utilities Commission Act, the Commission:

 

1.       Awards PACA funds in the amount of $17,689 to BCOAPO with respect to its participation in the PNG-West and PNG (N.E.) 2011 Revenue Requirements and Consolidated Gas Sales Tariff proceedings.


 

2.       Directs Pacific Northern Gas Ltd. to allocate the award as follows: PNG-West, 75 percent; PNG (N.E.) Fort St. John/Dawson Creek, 24 percent; PNG (N.E.) Tumbler Ridge 1 percent.
