An Application by British Columbia Hydro and Power Authority

for Approval of an Attestation of Mitigation Plan Completion

required for Compliance with Mandatory Reliability Standards

O  R  D  E  R

 

WHEREAS:

 

A.       British Columbia Utilities Commission (Commission) Order G-67-09 required entities subject to approved Mandatory Reliability Standards to file Mitigation Plans outlining how they plan to meet compliance with standards they were not in compliance with;

 

B.       The Compliance Monitoring Program approved by Order G-123-09 requires that an entity file a Mitigation Plan for every violation of a standard.  The Western Electricity Coordinating Council (WECC) as the Commission’s program administrator, reviews the Mitigation Plan and makes a recommendation to the Commission;

 

C.       By Order G-152-10, the Commission approved the Mitigation Plan filed by British Columbia Hydro and Power Authority for CIP-002-1 R1, R2, R3 and R4.

 

D.    On August 26, 2011, WECC recommended the Commission approve for British Columbia Hydro and Power Authority an Attestation of Mitigation Plan Completion for CIP-002-1 R1, R2, R3 and R4.

 

 

NOW THEREFORE pursuant to section 125.2 (10) of the Utilities Commission Act, the Commission accepts the WECC recommendation and approves the Attestation of Mitigation Plan Completion as listed above.
