WHEREAS:

A.      British Columbia Utilities Commission (Commission) Order G-194-10, dated December 14, 2010, approved Rate Schedule 1B – Residential Biomethane Service and amendments to FortisBC Energy Inc. (FEI) General Terms and Conditions for a blended biomethane product available to residential customers;

B.      The presentation of a blended biomethane rate on the customer bill rather than separate components was necessary to accommodate the limitations of the existing customer information system;

C.      Commission Order C-1-10 granted FEI a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity for the FEI Customer Care Enhancement Project, which includes the implementation of a new customer information system (New CIS) to be effective January 1, 2012;

D.      The New CIS will support the separate presentation of the Cost of Gas and the Cost of Biomethane on the residential biomethane customer bill;

E.       On November 18, 2011, FEI applied to the Commission for approval to amend Rate Schedule 1B – Residential Biomethane Service to remove the blended biomethane rate (the Application); and

F.       The proposed amendment does not change the blended biomethane product to be offered nor the total dollar amount charged to customers.

NOW THEREFORE the Commission approves a new Table of Charges for FEI’s Rate Schedule 1B – Residential Biomethane Service pursuant to the Application.

DATED at the City of Vancouver, in the Province of British Columbia, this    First   day of December 2011.
