WHEREAS:
A. On February 28, 2011 Corix Multi Utility Service Inc. (Corix) applied (the Application) to the British Columbia Utilities Commission (Commission) to Change the Gas Cost Recovery Charge (GCR Charge) for Propane Service at Panorama Mountain Resort, effective April 1, 2011;
B. The filing sought approval to increase the GCR Charge for Panorama Mountain Resort from $17.857 to $20.180 per gigajoule (GJ) effective April 1, 2011 to reflect a forecast increase in the cost of propane;
C. Corix has revised the estimated Gas Cost Recovery Account debit balance as at March 31, 2011 to be $9,500 and proposes to recover this amount in rates by March 31, 2012;
D. The proposed rate would result in a $81 per year increase in the annual bill of a typical residential customer and 9.5 percent increase in the annual bill of a typical commercial customer;
E. The Commission has reviewed the submissions by Corix and has determined that the proposed rate increase is appropriate and reasonable.
NOW THEREFORE pursuant to section 61(4) of the Utilities Commission Act, the Commission approves an increase in the Gas Cost Recovery Charge for Panorama Mountain Resort from $17.857 to $20.180 per GJ effective April 1, 2011. Corix will inform all customers affected by the rate change.
DATED at the City of Vancouver, in the Province of British Columbia, this 10th day of March 2011.
