for Approval of the Contract Demand Transportation Service Agreement between

FortisBC Huntingdon Inc. and FortisBC Energy Inc.

O  R  D  E  R

WHEREAS:

 

A.       On September 1, 2011, the British Columbia Utilities Commission (Commission) by Letter L-69-11 accepted for FortisBC Energy Inc. (FEI) the 2011/12 Annual Gas Contracting Plan (ACP);

 

B.       On December 14, 2011, FEI filed with the Commission an executed copy of a Contract Demand Transportation Service Agreement between FortisBC Huntingdon Inc. (formerly Huntingdon International Pipeline Corporation and more recently known as Terasen Huntingdon Inc.) and FEI to replace the long standing agreement between the parties which expired on December 31, 2011;

 

C.       On April 3, 2012, following discussions with Commission staff, FEI filed an executed copy of a replacement Contract Demand Transportation Service Agreement between FortisBC Huntingdon Inc. and FEI dated April 3, 2012 (the Agreement);

 

D.       The Commission has reviewed the FEI filing and is satisfied that the Agreement should be accepted.

 

NOW THEREFORE pursuant to section 71 of the of the Utilities Commission Act and the Commission’s Rules for Natural Gas Energy Supply Contracts, the Commission accepts the Contract Demand Transportation Service Agreement between FortisBC Huntingdon Inc. and FEI.  The Commission will keep confidential the filing and associated documents identified in this Order.
