and Pacific Northern Gas (N.E.) Ltd. (PNG Consolidated)
for 2012 Pension and Non-Pension Benefits

O  R  D  E  R

WHEREAS:

A.      On September 21, 2012, the British Columbia Utilities Commission (Commission) issued Order G-130-12 and its accompanying Reasons for Decision for Pacific Northern Gas Ltd.’s 2012 Revenue Requirements (RR) Application;

B.      Order G-130-12 Reasons for Decision states:  “If PNG wishes to reapply to the Commission for recovery in rates in 2013 for any of the Pension/NPPRB [Non-Pension Post Retirement Benefits] items already addressed in this [RR] Application, or any other Pension/NPPRB items, PNG is to file a separate comprehensive Pension Application, describing all of PNG’s Pension/NPPRB components, in order for the Commission to review PNG’s Pension accounting and rate recovery strategy in its entirety”;

C.      On November 30, 2012, Pacific Northern Gas Ltd. and Pacific Northern Gas (N.E.) Ltd. (PNG Consolidated) applied to the Commission for approval of certain Pension and Non-Pension Post Retirement Benefit treatments (the Application);

D.      The Commission considers establishing a Regulatory Timetable for the review of the Application is necessary and in the public interest.

NOW THEREFORE pursuant to sections 58 to 61 of the Utilities Commission Act, the Commission orders as follows:

1.       The Regulatory Timetable for the review of the Application is as set out in Appendix A to this Order.

2.       PNG Consolidated is to provide a copy of this Commission Order, electronically where possible, to all parties who participated in the PNG 2012 Revenue Requirements Application proceedings, as well as large industrial customers.
