O R D E R
WHEREAS:
A. Commission Order G-48-12 approved an interim toll increase for Taylor to Prince George from $10.12/m3 to $13.00/m3 and for Taylor to Kamloops from $20.00/m3 to $29.00/m3 effective March 1, 2012;
B. On May 14, 2012 Plateau Pipe Line Ltd. (Plateau) applied to the British Columbia Utilities Commission (Commission) for interim approval to increase tolls for crude oil deliveries from Taylor to Prince George and from Taylor to Kamloops on the Western Pipeline System (the Application);
C. The proposed interim tolls would increase for Taylor to Prince George from $13.00/m3 to $20.00/m3 and for Taylor to Kamloops from $29.00/m3 to $37.00/m3 effective June 1, 2012 to cover ongoing integrity costs and to ensure safe and reliable operation of the Western Pipeline System;
D. Plateau is negotiating a new five-year Long Term Service Toll Settlement agreement with the Shippers on the Western Pipeline System that has a proposed term of March 1, 2012 to December 31, 2016;
E. The Commission has reviewed the Application and considers that approval of interim tolls is warranted.
NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders as follows:
1. The requested Taylor to Prince George toll of $20.00/m3 and Taylor to Kamloops toll of $37.00/m3 are approved as interim effective June 1, 2012, in accordance with section 65(3.1)(a) of the Utilities Commission Act.
2. Plateau is to provide a copy of this Order to all Shippers on the Western Pipeline System.
