O R D E R
WHEREAS:
A. British Columbia Utilities Commission (Commission) Order G-202-12 dated December 27, 2012 approved FortisBC Inc.’s Guidelines for Establishing Entitlement to Non-PPA Embedded Cost Power and Matching Methodology (Compliance Filing to Order G-188-11);
B. On January 7, 2013, British Columbia Pensioners’ and Seniors’ Association et al. (BCPSO) submitted a Participant Assistance/Cost Award (PACA) application for its participation in the proceeding;
C. By letter dated February 1, 2013, FortisBC Inc. stated it had no comment on the PACA application; and
D. The Commission has reviewed the PACA application and comments from FortisBC Inc. with regard to the criteria and rates set out in the PACA Guidelines in Commission Order G‐72‐07 and has concluded that a cost award should be approved for BCPSO in the amount set out in its application.
NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders as follows:
1. Pursuant to section 118(1) of the Utilities Commission Act, the Commission awards funds to BCPSO in the amount of $5,252.80.
2. FortisBC is directed to reimburse BCPSO for the amount that has been awarded in a timely manner.
