O R D E R
WHEREAS:
A. By Letter L-43-13 dated July 11, 2013, the British Columbia Utilities Commission (Commission) accepted the Fortis BC Energy Inc. (FEI) 2013/14 Annual Contracting Plan (ACP);
B. On October 29, 2013, pursuant to section 71 of the Utilities Commission Act and section 2.0 of the Commission’s Rules for Natural Gas Energy Supply Contracts, FEI filed with the Commission for acceptance of a Ten-Year Baseload Gas Purchase Agreement with BP Canada Energy Group ULC (the Agreement);
C. FEI requested that the details of the Agreement be kept confidential for reasons of commercial sensitivity;
D. The Commission has reviewed the filing and is satisfied that the Agreement is appropriate considering regional market developments and is consistent with the ACP objectives.
NOW THEREFORE pursuant to section 71 of the Utilities Commission Act and the Commission’s Rules for Natural Gas Energy Supply Contracts, the Commission accepts for filing the Ten-Year Baseload Gas Purchase Agreement
between FortisBC Energy Inc. and BP Canada Energy Group ULC (the Agreement). The Commission will keep the details of the Agreement confidential as requested by FortisBC Energy Inc. to protect commercially sensitive information.
