for 2012 Pension and Non-Pension Benefits

O  R  D  E  R

 

WHEREAS:

 

A.   By Order G-89-13, the British Columbia Utilities Commission (Commission) issued its final decision to Pacific Northern Gas Ltd. and Pacific Northern Gas (N.E.) Ltd. [Collectively PNG] on the 2012 Pension and Non-Pension Benefits Application;

 

B.    By letter dated May 30, 2013, the British Columbia Public Interest Advocacy Centre filed an application for a Participant Assistance/Cost Award (PACA) on behalf of its client, the British Columbia Pensioners’ and Seniors’ Organization, BC Coalition of People with Disabilities, Council of Seniors Citizens’ Organization and the Tenant Resource and Advisory Centre, collectively known as BCPSO et al. (BCPSO);

 

C.    By letter dated June 28, 2013, PNG advised the Commission that it reviewed the BCPSO PACA Application and considered it to be reasonable and should be approved by the Commission;

 

D.   The Commission has reviewed the BCPSO PACA Application with regard to the criteria and rates set out in Order G-72-07.

 

 

NOW THEREFORE pursuant to section 118(1) of the Utilities Commission Act, the Commission:

 

1.       Awards funds in the amount of $6,515.25 to the British Columbia Pensioners’ and Seniors’ Organization et al. with respect to its participation in the PNG 2012 Pension and Non-Pension Benefits Application proceeding.

 

2.       Directs Pacific Northern Gas Ltd. to reimburse the Participants for the amounts awarded in a timely manner.
