O  R  D  E  R

WHEREAS:

 

A.      By Order E-16-12 dated June 12, 2012, the British Columbia Utilities Commission (Commission) accepted a propane supply agreement dated March 19, 2012, for the supply of liquid propane to Sun Peaks Utilities Co., Ltd. (SPUCL) for the period April 1, 2012 to March 31, 2014 between MP Energy Partnership and FortisBC Alternative Energy Services Inc. (FAES) to supply SPUCL with propane;

 

B.      On March 27, 2014, SPUCL applied for approval of a propane supply agreement dated March 26, 2014, between Superior Gas Liquids, a division of Superior Gas Liquids Partnerships (Superior) and FAES to supply SPUCL with propane for the period from April 1, 2014 to March 31, 2016 (the Agreement);

 

C.      SPUCL contracted with DESCO Distributed Energy Services Co. Ltd. (now known as FAES) to provide propane vapor distribution technical services, propane supply, and propane storage and vaporization facilities to service the resort community at Sun Peaks as noted in Order C-11-98;

 

D.      SPUCL requested that the Agreement and associated documents remain confidential due to their commercially sensitive nature; and

 

E.       The Commission reviewed the SPUCL filing and is satisfied that the Agreement is appropriate and in the public interest.

 

 

NOW THEREFORE pursuant to section 71 of the Utilities Commission Act and the British Columbia Utilities Commission’s Rules for Natural Gas Energy Supply Contracts, the Commission accepts for filing the executed copy of the Agreement between FortisBC Alternative Energy Services Inc. and Superior Gas Liquids, a division of Superior Gas Liquids Partnerships for the supply of propane to Sun Peaks Utilities Co., Ltd.  The Commission will keep the filing along with the Agreement confidential as requested by SPUCL due to their commercially sensitive nature.
