O  R  D  E  R

WHEREAS:

A.      By Letter L-43-13 dated July 11, 2013, the British Columbia Utilities Commission (Commission) accepted the FortisBC Energy Inc. (FEI) 2013/14 Annual Gas Contracting Plan (FEI ACP);

B.      By Letter L-44-13 dated July 18, 2013, the Commission accepted the FortisBC Energy (Vancouver Island) Inc. (FEVI) 2013/14 Annual Contracting Plan (FEVI ACP);

C.      On May 21, 2014, FEI filed with the Commission an executed copy of the renewed Mist Storage Agreement H between Northwest Natural Gas Company and FEI.  In addition, FEI filed an agreement to sublease Mist Storage to FEVI (collectively the Filing);

D.      FEI requests the two agreements be accepted for filing under section 71 of the Utilities Commission Act;

E.       FEI requests that the Filing and associated agreements remain confidential due to their commercially sensitive nature; and

F.       The Commission reviewed the Filing and is satisfied that the gas storage and sublease agreements are consistent with the FEI ACP and FEVI ACP, respectively, are in the public interest, and should be held confidential.

NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders as follows:

1.       Pursuant to section 71 of the Utilities Commission Act and the Commission’s Rules for Natural Gas Energy Supply Contracts, the British Columbia Utilities Commission accepts for filing the two contracts described as follows:

a)      The renewed Mist Storage Agreement H between Northwest Natural Gas Company and FortisBC Energy Inc.

b)      The Mist Storage Agreement H Sublease Agreement between FortisBC Energy Inc. and FortisBC Energy (Vancouver Island) Inc.

2.       The Commission will keep confidential the Filing and the associated contracts identified in this Order as requested by FEI to protect commercially sensitive information.
