Application for Approval of 2014 Revenue Requirements
for the PNG (N.E.) Service Area
On March 11, 2014, by Order G-32-14, the Commission Panel for the above-noted proceeding established that the review of the matter would be by way of a Negotiated Settlement Process (NSP) on a date to be determined.
On May 12, 2014, the Commission issued a letter to the Applicant and the Intervener appointing the NSP Facilitator and establishing the roles of Commission staff in the NSP. The Commission also proposed a date for the commencement of the NSP and proposed that certain amendments be made to the Regulatory Timetable issued pursuant to Order G-32-14. The Applicant and Intervener were invited to make submissions on the staff roles in the NSP, the proposed changes to the regulatory approach leading up to the NSP, and the proposed date for the commencement of the NSP.
On May 15, 2014, the Applicant and Intervener each filed submissions with the Commission stating that they support the process and timetable proposed by the Commission for the NSP.
In consideration of the above, enclosed please find the Amended Regulatory Timetable which includes the deadline for Commission issuance of the NSP Issues Summary, the removal of the NSP “Issues Day,” and the date and time for commencement of the NSP. Please note that the PNG (N.E.) NSP will follow the conclusion of the PNG West NSP. The Commission will provide the location for the NSP at the time it files the NSP Issues Summary.
