O R D E R
WHEREAS:
A. By Letter L-40-14 dated July 17, 2014, the British Columbia Utilities Commission (Commission) accepted the FortisBC Energy Inc. (FEI) 2014/15 Annual Contracting Plan;
B. On March 9, 2015, FEI filed with the Commission an application for approval to renew an expiring Aitken Creek 5 Year Firm Gas Storage Agreement with a new 5 Year Storage Agreement (the Filing);
C. FEI requests that the Filing and associated documents remain confidential due to their commercially sensitive nature; and
D. The Commission reviewed the Filing and is satisfied that the gas storage agreement between FEI and Aitken Creek Gas Storage ULC is consistent with the 2014/15 Annual Contracting Plan, is in the public interest, and that the Filing and associated documents should be kept confidential.
NOW THEREFORE pursuant to section 71 of the Utilities Commission Act and the British Columbia Utilities Commission’s Rules for Natural Gas Energy Supply Contracts, the Commission accepts the storage agreement between FortisBC Energy Inc. and Aitken Creek Gas Storage ULC. The Commission will keep the Filing and associated documents confidential as requested by FortisBC Energy Inc. as they contain commercially sensitive information.
