O R D E R
WHEREAS:
A. By Letter L-40-14 dated July 17, 2014, the British Columbia Utilities Commission (Commission) accepted the FortisBC Energy Inc. (FEI) 2014/15 Annual Contracting Plan (ACP);
B. On April 1, 2015, FEI filed with the Commission an application for approval to extend the Northwest Pipeline LLC (NWP) 5 Year Firm Transportation #135562 Agreement with an additional 5 Year Transportation Agreement (the Filing);
C. FEI requests that the Filing and associated documents remain confidential due to their commercially sensitive nature; and
D. The Commission reviewed the Filing and is satisfied that the gas transportation agreement between FEI and NWP is consistent with the ACP, is in the public interest, and that the Filing and associated documents should be kept confidential.
NOW THEREFORE pursuant to section 71 of the Utilities Commission Act and the British Columbia Utilities Commission’s Rules for Natural Gas Energy Supply Contracts, the Commission accepts the transportation agreement between FortisBC Energy Inc. (FEI) and Northwest Pipeline LLC, and directs FEI to file an executed copy of the agreement. The Commission will keep the Filing and associated documents confidential as requested by FEI as they contain commercially sensitive information.
