O R D E R
WHEREAS:
A. By Letter L-40-14 dated July 17, 2014, the British Columbia Utilities Commission (Commission) accepted the FortisBC Energy Inc. (FEI) 2014/15 Annual Contracting Plan (ACP);
B. On April 14, 2015, FEI filed with the Commission an application for approval to renew the expired IGI Resources, Inc. (IGI) 2-Year Huntingdon Exchange Agreement with a new 4-Year Huntingdon Exchange Agreement (the Filing);
C. FEI requests that the Filing and associated documents remain confidential due to their commercially sensitive nature;
D. By Order G-130-06 dated October 27, 2006, the Commission approved the Rules for Natural Gas Energy Supply Contracts (Rules). The Rules are intended to facilitate the Commission’s review of natural gas energy supply contracts pursuant to section 71 of the Utilities Commission Act; and
E. The Commission reviewed the Filing and is satisfied that the gas transportation agreement between FEI and IGI is consistent with the ACP, is in the public interest, and that the Filing and associated documents should be kept confidential.
NOW THEREFORE pursuant to section 71 of the Utilities Commission Act and in accordance with the British Columbia Utilities Commission’s Rules for Natural Gas Energy Supply Contracts, the Commission accepts the transportation agreement between FortisBC Energy Inc. and IGI Resources, Inc. The Commission will keep the Filing and associated documents confidential as requested by FortisBC Energy Inc. as they contain commercially sensitive information.
