Dear Ms. Roy:

Re:  FortisBC Energy Inc.

Biomethane Variance Account

2015 Third Quarter Report

Further to FortisBC Energy Inc.’s (FEI) August 14, 2015 filing of the 2015 Third Quarter Report on the Biomethane Variance Account (BVA) and Biomethane Energy Recovery Charge (BERC), the British Columbia Utilities Commission (Commission) acknowledges receipt of the Third Quarter Report and accepts the recommendation that the BERC rate remain unchanged at October 1, 2015 at $14.414 per gigajoule as established in Commission Order G-177-14.

The Commission acknowledges FEI’s restructuring of the quarterly BVA reporting as requested by the Commission in Letter L-23-15 such that the monthly general administration costs for the biomethane program and monthly cost-of-service costs for each of the FEI owned and operated upgraders and any interconnection facility costs to be recorded in the BVA are reported as separate line items on the non-confidential schedules.

The Commission will hold confidential the information in Pages 4.1C, 4.2C and 4.3C in Tab 1 of the Third Quarter Report as the supply contract information is considered market sensitive data.

                                                                                                                                Yours truly,

                                                                                                                                Erica Hamilton
