O  R  D  E  R

WHEREAS:

A.      On August 14, 2015, the Commission issued Order G-136-15 directing the British Columbia Hydro and Power Authority (BC Hydro) to waive the difference in the amount Sobeys West Inc. (Sobeys) is to be billed under the Large General Service 85/15 Rate for the first 12 months following Sobeys’ acquisition of Safeway, as compared to the billing under the Large General Service rate using the Safeway Large General Service baselines (approximately $900,000).

B.      On August 25, 2015, BC Hydro requested an amendment to Order G-136-15 and stated that some of the Safeway accounts are on the Medium General Service Rate and some accounts are on the Exempt General Service Rate.

C.      The Commission has considered BC Hydro’s request and finds it appropriate to vary the directive previously stated in Order G-136-15 to ensure BC Hydro can calculate the appropriate final amount to be waived pertaining to the Sobeys acquisition of Safeway.

NOW THEREFORE pursuant to section 99 of the Utilities Commission Act, the Commission varies the directive of Order G-136-15. The British Columbia Hydro and Power Authority is directed to waive the difference in the amount Sobeys West Inc. is to be billed under the Medium General Service 85/15 Rate and the Large General Service 85/15 Rate for the first 12 months following Sobeys West Inc.’s acquisition of Safeway, as compared to the billing under the Medium General Service rate and the Large General Service rate using the Safeway General Service baselines (approximately $900,000). For the control group accounts, baselines are to be determined using the most recent 12 months of historical consumption under the Exempt General Service rate.

DATED at the City of Vancouver, in the Province of British Columbia, this        27th         day of August 2015.
