2015 System Extension Application

O  R  D  E  R

WHEREAS:

A.      On June 30, 2015, FortisBC Energy Inc. (FEI) applied to the British Columbia Utilities Commission (Commission) for approval of changes to its Mains Extension Test (MX Test), Customer Connection Policy and related reporting requirements (Application);

B.      On July 23, 2015, the Commission issued Order G-126-15, establishing a regulatory timetable for the review of the Application;

C.      On August 31, 2015, FEI submitted a letter to the Commission with copy to registered participants requesting to extend the regulatory timetable by three weeks to file responses to Commission and Intervener Information Request No. 1 on September 25, 2015 instead of September 4, 2015. FEI requested an extension due to resource constraints from multiple deadlines in other ongoing regulatory processes;

D.      Commercial Energy Consumers Association of BC, British Columbia Hydro and Power Authority, BC Old Age Pensioners’ Organizations et al., and the BC Sustainable Energy Association and the Sierra Club of British Columbia submitted letters to the Commission stating no objection to the extension request; and

E.       The Panel has considered the request and comments received and agrees that granting an extension is warranted.

NOW THEREFORE the British Columbia Utilities Commission orders as follows:

1.       The amended Regulatory Timetable for the review of the Application is set out in Appendix A to this order.
