A Filing for Approval of a Storage Agreement between

FortisBC Energy Inc. and Aitken Creek Gas Storage ULC

O R D E R

WHEREAS:

 

A.      By Letter L-28-15 dated July 9, 2015, the British Columbia Utilities Commission (Commission) accepted the FortisBC Energy Inc. (FEI) 2015/16 Annual Contracting Plan;

 

B.      On November 12, 2015, FEI filed with the Commission an application for approval to renew the expiring Aitken Creek (ACR) 4 Year Firm Gas Storage Agreement with a new 5 Year Storage Agreement (the Filing);

 

C.      FEI requests that the Filing and associated documents remain confidential due to their commercially sensitive nature; and

 

D.      The Commission reviewed the Filing and is satisfied that the gas storage agreement between FEI and Aitken Creek Gas Storage ULC is consistent with the 2015/16 Annual Contracting Plan and in the public interest.

 

NOW THEREFORE pursuant to section 71 of the Utilities Commission Act and the British Columbia Utilities Commission’s Rules for Natural Gas Energy Supply Contracts, the Commission accepts the Storage Agreement between FortisBC Energy Inc. and Aitken Creek Gas Storage ULC. The Commission will keep the Filing and associated documents confidential as requested by FortisBC Energy Inc. as they contain commercially sensitive information.
