O  R  D  E  R

WHEREAS:

A.       On November 25, 2015, the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC) submitted to the British Columbia Utilities Commission (Commission) an application (Application) to amend Section 3.B.3, subsection 8.9(c) of Schedule D, and page 3 of the Index of the Basic Insurance Tariff (Tariff) which the proposed amendments would remove the $20 application fee for Claim-Rated Scale Discount Applications (APV247A);

B.       In its Application, ICBC submits that the $20 application fee is currently charged to offset the administrative expenses incurred during the review and approval process for new residents who provide a claims history letter subsequent to obtaining Basic Insurance coverage. Customers who have the claims history letter at the time of application for Basic Insurance coverage are not charged the $20 application fee; and

C.       The Commission reviewed the Application and considers that its approval is warranted.

NOW THEREFORE the British Columbia Utilities Commission approves the amendments to the Basic Insurance Tariff  effective January 1, 2016.

DATED at the City of Vancouver, in the Province of British Columbia, this                              day of December 2015.
