Order G-154-15 Compliance Filing – Revisions to Rate Schedule 7 Tariff

O  R  D  E  R

WHEREAS:

A.      On September 24, 2015, the British Columbia Utilities Commission (Commission) issued Order G-154-15 and accompanying Reasons for Decision regarding Pacific Northern Gas (N.E.) Ltd.’s [PNG(N.E.)] Application for Approval of AltaGas Ltd. Industrial Firm Transportation Service Agreement (TSA) and Proposed Rate Schedule 7 (RS 7) Industrial LNG Firm Transportation Service Tariff (RS 7 Tariff);

B.      By Order G-154-15, the Commission approved the Industrial Firm TSA between PNG(N.E.) and AltaGas Ltd. and the negotiated rate to be charged to AltaGas Ltd. However, the Commission denied the proposed RS 7 Tariff and directed PNG(N.E.) to file a revised tariff and rate schedule by no later than 30 days from the date of the order;

C.      On October 26, 2015, PNG(N.E.) filed a revised draft RS 7 Tariff (Application);

D.      By letter dated November 12, 2015, the Commission provided all parties registered in the original proceeding regarding the PNG(N.E.) TSA with AltaGas Ltd. and proposed RS 7 Tariff, an opportunity to comment on the Application;

E.       B.C. Sustainable Energy Association and the British Columbia Old Age Pensioners’ Organization, et al., responded on November 12 and November 27, 2015, respectively, indicating that they had no issues with the revised RS 7 Tariff filing; and

F.       The Commission reviewed the Application and considers that approval is warranted.

 

 

NOW THEREFORE pursuant to sections 59-61 of the Utilities Commission Act, the British Columbia Utilities Commission:

 

1.       Approves the revised Rate Schedule 7 Industrial Firm Transportation Service Bypass Rate (RS 7) tariff for the Pacific Northern Gas (N.E.) Ltd. [PNG(N.E.)] – Dawson Creek division.

 

2.       Directs PNG(N.E.) to file the finalized RS 7 tariff pages with the Commission by no later than 30 days from the date of this order.
