FortisBC Energy Inc.

British Columbia Utilities Commission Decision and Order G-147-16 – Revised Tariff Pages

BEFORE:

K. A. Keilty, Commissioner

on December 7, 2016

ORDER

WHEREAS:

A.      On September 16, 2016, by Decision and Order G-147-16, the British Columbia Utilities Commission (Commission) approved, pursuant to sections 29, 30 and 59 to 61 of the Utilities Commission Act, FortisBC Energy Inc.’s (FEI) mains extension test, customer connection policies and related reporting requirements.  In Order G-147-16, FEI was directed to file black-line changes to its General Terms and Conditions consistent with the Decision within 30 days;

B.      On October 14, 2016, FEI filed with the Commission its revised tariff pages including black-lined changes for endorsement. In its filing, FEI noted that the revised tariff pages generally reflected the revisions proposed in it 2015 System Extension Application and responses to information requests in that proceeding. FEI also noted that as part of the revised tariff pages, FEI took the opportunity to make small housekeeping changes in order to provide clarity for customers;

C.      On November 9, 2016, FEI filed supplemental information to support the endorsement request. In the cover letter FEI explained that while not expressly considered in the regulatory review process it believes the housekeeping changes are not controversial, are not substantive, reflect the intent and effect of the Decision and provide greater clarity for customers; and

D.      The Commission has reviewed the proposed tariff revisions, the supplemental information and considers approval is warranted.

NOW THEREFORE the British Columbia Utilities Commission orders as follows:

1.       The changes to the General Terms and Conditions, as filed by FortisBC Energy Inc. on October 14, 2016 and not previously approved by Order G-147-16, are approved effective October 14, 2016.

DATED at the City of Vancouver, in the Province of British Columbia, this     7th           day of December 2016.
