Application for Approval of Rates and Agreement for Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Fueling Service
from the LNG Fueling Station located at Denwill Enterprises Inc. for Vedder Transport Ltd.

ORDER

WHEREAS:

 

A.      On December 21, 2016, FortisBC Energy Inc. (FEI) applied to the British Columbia Utilities Commission (Commission), pursuant to sections 59 to 61 and section 89 of the Utilities Commission Act, for interim and permanent approval of the rates for service established in the fueling services agreement between FEI and Vedder Transport Ltd. (Vedder), effective January 1, 2017 (Application);

B.      On December 14, 2016, FEI and Vedder entered into a fueling services agreement which establishes the terms, conditions and rates for Vedder to receive Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) fueling service from the LNG station located at the Denwill Enterprises Inc. facility site in Burnaby, British Columbia (Denwill Fueling Station); and

C.      The Commission has reviewed and considered the Application and determines that permanent rates for LNG service between FEI and Vedder at the Denwill Fueling Station should be approved.

 

NOW THEREFORE pursuant to sections 59 to 61 of the Utilities Commission Act, the British Columbia Utilities Commission orders as follows:

 

1.       The rates established in the fueling services agreement between FortisBC Energy Inc. and Vedder Transport Ltd. are approved, on a permanent basis, effective January 1, 2017.

2.       FortisBC Energy Inc. is directed to file the Fueling Services Agreement between FortisBC Energy Inc. and Vedder Transport Ltd. in tariff supplement form for endorsement by the Commission within 30 days of the date of this order.
