ORDER

WHEREAS:

A.      On August 8, 2016, FortisBC Inc. (FBC) applied to the British Columbia Utilities Commission (Commission) pursuant to section 44.2 of the Utilities Commission Act for acceptance of Demand Side Management (DSM) expenditures for year 2017 (Application);

B.      In the Application, FBC requests acceptance of DSM expenditures of $7.6 million for year 2017;

C.      By Orders G-135-16, the Commission established a written public hearing process for the review of the Application including one round of information requests and written final arguments;

D.      On January 25, 2017, the Commission issued Order G-9-17 with accompanying Reasons for Decision in regard to the Application;

E.       The following participants filed Participant Assistance/Cost Award (PACA) applications with the Commission with respect to their participation in the FBC Application for Acceptance of DSM Expenditures for 2017 proceeding:

F.       On December 27, 2016, FBC submitted its comments on the PACA applications stating that provided the Commission has no concerns with the time identified or the amounts applied for by the interveners, FBC has no comment;

G.     The Commission reviewed the PACA applications in accordance with the PACA Guidelines attached to Commission Order G-72-07, and concludes that the cost awards should be approved.

 

NOW THEREFORE pursuant to section 118(1) of the Utilities Commission Act the British Columbia Utilities Commission orders as follows:

 

1.       Funding is awarded to the following participants for their participation in the FortisBC Inc. Application for Acceptance of Demand Side Management (DSM) Expenditures for 2017 proceeding:
