ORDER
WHEREAS:
A. On March 2, 2017, the Lieutenant Governor in Council (LGIC) issued Order in Council 106 (OIC 106/17), which amended Special Direction IC2 to the British Columbia Utilities Commission, BC Regulation 307/2004, as amended (Special Direction IC2), directing the British Columbia Utilities Commission (Commission) to approve and set the rates in relation to changes to the Claim-Rated Scale (CRS), within 20 days of the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC or Corporation) applying for approval of the changes to rates in accordance with a government directive;
B. On March 2, 2017, the LGIC issued Order in Council 105 (OIC 105/17), the Government Directive with respect to One Free Crash/Reduced Crash Forgiveness, which directs ICBC to implement the changes in relation to the CRS as set out in the amended ICBC Basic Insurance Tariff (Tariff) page, effective May 6, 2018, that is attached to the Government Directive;
C. On March 3, 2017, pursuant to OIC 105/17, ICBC filed an application seeking a Commission order to amend the Tariff with respect to the changes in relation to the CRS (Application); and
D. The Commission reviewed the Application and considers that its approval is required.
NOW THEREFORE the British Columbia Utilities Commission approves the Basic Insurance Tariff page amendment, effective May 6, 2018, as set out in Attachment A to this order.
