ORDER

WHEREAS:

A.      On April 26, 2017, FortisBC Inc. (FBC) filed, pursuant to sections 44.2 and 59-60 of the Utilities Commission Act (UCA), an application with the British Columbia Utilities Commission (Commission) seeking acceptance of a capital expenditure schedule relating to the proposed Community Solar Pilot Project (the Ellison Solar Project) and for approval to implement Rate Schedules 85A and 85B (Application);

B.      By Orders G-66-17 and G-79-17, the Commission established a regulatory timetable for the initial review of the Application which included a May 16, 2017 deadline for intervener registration and a procedural conference to be held on June 1, 2017;

C.      Based on the submissions made by interveners at the June 1, 2017 procedural conference and on the written submission provided by Mr. Donald Scarlett on May 31, 2017, the Commission, by Order G-89-17, established an amended regulatory timetable which included one round of Commission and intervener information requests (IR No. 1), and a deadline for interveners to file a notice of their intent to submit evidence, with further process to be determined;

D.      By Order G-108-17 dated July 17, 2017, the Commission established the remainder of the regulatory timetable, including a second round of IRs and written final and reply arguments;

E.       On July 20, 2017, FBC filed a letter with the Commission requesting a one-week extension to the date for
IR No. 2 responses and to all subsequent dates due to the availability of key FBC staff; and

F.       The Commission has reviewed FBC’s extension request and considers that amending the regulatory timetable is warranted.

NOW THEREFORE the Commission amends the regulatory timetable established by Order G-108-17. The amended regulatory timetable is provided as Appendix A to this order.
