Proposed Supply Contract with Cascadia Energy

ORDER

WHEREAS:

 

A.      On August 24, 2017, in compliance with British Columbia Utilities Commission (Commission) Letter L-19-16 and in response to Commission letter dated August 16, 2017, Creative Energy Vancouver Platforms Inc. (Creative Energy) filed with the Commission a gas supply contract between Creative Energy and Cascadia Energy Ltd. for Utilities Commission Act (UCA) section 71 acceptance (Supply Contract);

B.      By Letter L-19-16 dated July 28, 2016, the Commission accepted the Creative Energy 2016/2017 Annual Contracting Plan (ACP) commencing November 1, 2016;

C.      On August 24, 2017, Creative Energy filed responses to Commission staff questions related to natural gas supply contracts that have been entered into by Creative Energy during the 2016/2017 year;

D.      Creative Energy requests that the filing and associated documents remain confidential due to their commercially sensitive nature; and

E.       The Commission reviewed the filing and is satisfied that the Supply Contract is in the public interest.

 


 

NOW THEREFORE pursuant to section 71 of the Utilities Commission Act and the British Columbia Utilities Commission’s Rules for Energy Supply Contracts, the Commission accepts for filing the supply contract between Creative Energy Vancouver Platforms Inc. and Cascadia Energy Ltd. for the period November 1, 2016 to November 1, 2019. The Commission will keep documents associated with the filing confidential as requested by Creative Energy Vancouver Platforms Inc. as they contain commercially sensitive information.
