2018–2022 Revenue Requirements Application

ORDER

WHEREAS:

 

A.      On December 1, 2017, Creative Energy Vancouver Platforms Inc. (Creative Energy) filed its 2018-2022 Revenue Requirements application with the British Columbia Utilities Commission (Commission) seeking, among other things, interim and final approval to increase Steam Rates by 2.15 percent, effective January 1, 2018 (Application); and

B.      The Commission has commenced review of the Application and finds approval of the applied for Steam Rate increase, on an interim and refundable basis, is warranted.

 

NOW THEREFORE pursuant to section 89 of the Utilities Commission Act, the Commission orders as follows:

 

1.       Creative Energy’s applied for rate increase of 2.15 percent is approved on an interim and refundable basis, effective January 1, 2018.

2.       Any variance between the interim and the permanent rates as determined by the Commission following final disposition of the Application is subject to refund/recovery, with interest at the average prime rate of Creative Energy’s principal bank for its most recent year.

3.       Creative Energy is directed to provide notice of the Application and a copy of this order to all parties who participated in the Creative Energy 2016-2017 Revenue Requirements Application and Rate Design for Northeast False Creek Hot Water Service proceeding and to all affected customers, by way of a bill insert, in its next customer mailing.

4.       Creative Energy is directed to file interim tariff pages with the Commission within 10 days of the date of this order.
