ORDER
WHEREAS:
A. On November 1, 2017, the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC) submitted to the British Columbia Utilities Commission (Commission) an application for housekeeping amendments to the Basic Insurance Tariff (Tariff) as follows (Application):
(i) Tariff amendments, effective January 1, 2018, as outlined in Appendix A of the Application.
(ii) Tariff amendments, with an effective date that will align with the implementation in ICBC’s new policy administration system (PAS), as outlined in Appendix B of the Application;
B. On December 1, 2017, ICBC filed errata to the Application (Errata) which corrected a typographical error and revised one of the requested Tariff amendments;
C. ICBC submits that the proposed Tariff amendments set out in the Application and Errata are all minor in scope and customer impacts, if any, are limited to a very small group of customers; and
D. The Commission reviewed the Application and Errata and considers that approval is warranted.
NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders as follows:
1. The requested Tariff amendments as shown in items 1 through 4 in Appendix A to this order, are approved effective January 1, 2018, as applied for in the Application and Errata.
2. The requested Tariff amendments as shown in item 5 in Appendix A to this order, are approved with an effective date to be finalized that will align with the implementation in ICBC’s new PAS, as applied for in the Application.
