ORDER

WHEREAS:

 

A.      On November 10, 2016, FortisBC Inc. (FBC) filed with the British Columbia Utilities Commission (Commission) its Self-Generation Policy Stage II Application, seeking among other things, approval of the Self-Supply Obligation Guidelines and the Stand-by Billing Demand (Application);

B.      On February 2, 2017, the Commission issued Order G-14-17 establishing the Regulatory Timetable for the review of the Application, which includes two rounds of Commission information requests (IRs) and one round of intervener IRs;

C.      On March 15, 2017, the Commission issued IR No. 1 to FBC and on April 21, 2017, FBC filed their responses to Commission IR No. 1;

D.      On May 12, 2017, the Commission issued Order G-70-17, amending the Regulatory Timetable to allow parties additional time to review responses to Commission IR No. 1 and to prepare Commission IR No. 2 and Intervener IR No. 1;

E.       On June 9, 2017, the Commission issued Order G-90-17, suspending the Regulatory Timetable established by Order G-70-17;

F.       On August 10, 2017, the Commission issued a letter requesting parties to provide comments on a number of outstanding issues raised by the Panel in Exhibit A-6;

G.      In accordance with the schedule set out in Exhibit A-6, FBC, Zellstoff Celgar Limited Partnership, the Commercial Energy Consumers Association of British Columbia, British Columbia Hydro and Power Authority, British Columbia Municipal Electrical Utilities, and BC Sustainable Energy Association and Sierra Club BC provided comments on the issues raised in Exhibit A-6. All parties supported resumption of the proceeding; and

H.      The Panel has considered all the submissions, and finds it appropriate to resume the proceeding in line with the Regulatory Timetable set out in Order G-90-17.

 

NOW THEREFORE British Columbia Utilities Commission orders that the proceeding be resumed, according to the amended Regulatory Timetable attached as Appendix A to this order.
