FortisBC Energy Inc. and AECO Gas Storage Partnership (Rockpoint)

ORDER

WHEREAS:

 

A.      On January 15, 2018, pursuant to section 71 of the Utilities Commission Act, FortisBC Energy Inc. (FEI) filed with the British Columbia Utilities Commission (Commission) for the Commission’s approval an executed copy of the Rockpoint storage agreement (Agreement) negotiated between FEI and AECO Gas Storage Partnership for the period from April 1, 2018 to March 31, 2023 (Filing);

B.      On June 28, 2017, the Commission accepted the FEI 2017/18 Annual Gas Contracting Plan (ACP) by Letter L-15-17;

C.       FEI requests that the Filing and associated documents remain confidential due to their commercially sensitive nature; and

D.      The Commission has reviewed the Filing and associated documents and is satisfied that the Agreement is consistent with the 2017/18 ACP and is in the public interest.

NOW THEREFORE pursuant to section 71 of the Utilities Commission Act and the Commission’s Rules for Natural Gas Energy Supply Contracts, the Commission accepts the Gas Storage Agreement between FortisBC Energy Inc. and AECO Gas Storage Partnership (Rockpoint) for filing. The Commission will keep the filing and associated documents confidential as they contain commercially sensitive information.
