ORDER
WHEREAS:
A. On April 23, 2018, pursuant to section 71 of the Utilities Commission Act (UCA), FortisBC Energy Inc. (FEI) filed with the British Columbia Utilities Commission (BCUC) an application seeking acceptance of a proposed Propane Supply Agreement between FEI and AltaGas Extraction and Transmission Limited Partnership (AltaGas) for the Revelstoke Service Area for the period from April 1, 2018 to March 31, 2020 (Agreement);
B. By Order G-130-06 dated October 27, 2006, the BCUC approved the Rules for Natural Gas Energy Supply Contracts (Rules). The Rules are intended to facilitate the BCUC’s review of natural gas energy supply contracts pursuant to section 71 of the UCA;
C. On June 28, 2017, via letter L-16-17, the BCUC accepted the FEI Revelstoke 2017-2018 Annual Contracting Plan;
D. FEI requests that the filing and associated documents remain confidential due to their commercially sensitive nature; and
E. The BCUC reviewed the filing and is satisfied that the Agreement is
consistent with the FEI Revelstoke
2017-2018 Annual Contracting Plan and in the public interest.
NOW THEREFORE pursuant to section 71 of the UCA and the Rules:
1. The BCUC accepts the proposed Propane Supply Agreement between FEI and AltaGas as filed with the BCUC on April 23, 2018.
2. FEI is required to file the executed copy of the Agreement with the BCUC within 30 days of this order.
3. The BCUC will keep the filing and associated documents confidential as they contain commercially sensitive information.
