ORDER
WHEREAS:
A. On March 19, 2017, pursuant to section 71 of the Utilities Commission Act and Section 6.0 of the British Columbia Utilities Commission’s (BCUC) Rules for Natural Gas Energy Supply Contracts that are set out in Appendix A to Order G-130-06, FortisBC Energy Inc. (FEI) filed for acceptance with the BCUC, its Remaining Commodity Baseload Purchases for Summer 2018 (April 2018 – October 2018) (Filing);
B. By Letter L-15-17 dated June 28, 2017, the BCUC accepted the FEI the 2017/18 Annual Contracting Plan (ACP);
C. By Order E-23-17 dated December 14, 2017, the BCUC accepted FEI’s Natural Gas Supply Contracts for the Commodity and Midstream Portfolio;
D. FEI requested that the details of the Filing and associated documents remain confidential for reasons of commercial sensitivity; and
E. The BCUC reviewed the Filing and is satisfied that the energy supply contracts are in the public interest.
NOW THEREFORE pursuant to section 71 of the Utilities Commission Act and the BCUC’s Rules for Natural Gas Energy Supply Contracts as set out in Order G-130-06, the BCUC accepts the natural gas contracts listed in
Attachment A to this order. The BCUC will keep the details of the Filing and associated documents confidential as requested by FEI as they contain commercially sensitive information.
