ORDER

WHEREAS:

A.      On May 3, 2016, the British Columbia Utilities Commission (BCUC) issued Order G-58-16, establishing a proceeding to review the regulatory oversight of British Columbia Hydro and Power Authority’s (BC Hydro) capital expenditures and projects (Review);

B.      By Order G-148-18 dated August 18, 2018, the BCUC set out a regulatory timetable which included the filing of evidence by the Commercial Energy Consumers Association of British Columbia (CEC);

C.      On August 27, 2018, CEC filed a letter providing a summary of the proposed evidence and requesting the Panel to confirm that the topics proposed in the evidence summary are in scope;

D.      By Order G-173-18 dated September 17, 2018, the BCUC set out an amended regulatory timetable;

E.       By letter dated October 5, 2018, CEC requested a one week extension of the date for filing evidence as set out in Appendix A to Order G-173-18;

F.       By letter dated October 9, 2018, BC Hydro requested an amendment to the regulatory timetable to accommodate the CEC requested extension, and to allow sufficient time and resources for BC Hydro to respond to information requests;

G.      By letter dated October 10, 2018, BC Sustainable Energy Association and Sierra Club BC (BCSEA) stated that it does not object to the revisions to the regulatory timetable proposed by CEC and BC Hydro; and

H.      The BCUC has reviewed the requests of CEC and BC Hydro and considers that an amendment to the regulatory timetable for the Review established by Order G-173-18 is warranted.

NOW THEREFORE the BCUC orders that the regulatory timetable for the Review established by Order G-173-18 is amended and attached as Appendix A to this order.
