FortisBC Alternative Energy Inc. and Superior Gas Liquids to service Oliver’s Landing (Furry Creek)

ORDER

WHEREAS:

 

A.      On April 12, 2018, pursuant to section 71 of the Utilities Commission Act (UCA), FortisBC Alternative Energy Services Inc. (FAES) filed with the British Columbia Utilities Commission (BCUC) an application to accept a Propane Supply Agreement between FAES and Superior Gas Liquids (Superior) for Oliver’s Landing (Furry Creek) for the period from April 1, 2018 to March 31, 2020 (Agreement);

B.      By Order G-130-06 dated October 27, 2006, the BCUC approved the Rules for Natural Gas Energy Supply Contracts (Rules). The Rules are intended to facilitate the BCUC’s review of natural gas energy supply contracts pursuant to section 71 of the UCA;

C.      FAES requests that the Agreement and associated documents remain confidential due to their commercially sensitive nature; and

D.      The BCUC reviewed the filing and is satisfied that the Agreement is in the public interest.

 

NOW THEREFORE pursuant to section 71 of the Utilities Commission Act and Rules:

 

1.       The BCUC accepts the Propane Supply Agreement between FAES and Superior.

2.       The BCUC will keep the Agreement and associated documents confidential as they contain commercially sensitive information.

3.       In accordance with section 71 of the Utilities Commission Act and the Rules for Natural Gas Energy Supply Contracts FAES is directed to file all Energy Supply Contracts for similar distribution systems in operation by FAES, if it has not already done so, within 90 days from the date of this order.

4.       In accordance with section 23.1 of the Utilities Commission Act and Order G-130-06 FAES is directed to file an annual contracting plan for all propane supply agreements for 2019 fiscal year.
