ORDER

WHEREAS:

 

A.      On November 18, 2019, FortisBC Energy Inc. (FEI) applied to the British Columbia Utilities Commission (BCUC), pursuant to sections 59 to 61 of the Utilities Commission Act, for approval of the Revenue Stabilization Adjustment Mechanism (RSAM) and Biomethane Variance Account (BVA) rate riders, on a permanent basis effective January 1, 2020 (Application);

B.      The Application seeks approval to set the BVA rate rider for 2020 in the amount of $0.019 per gigajoule (GJ) and to set the RSAM rate rider for 2020 in the amount of $0.078 per GJ; and

C.      The BCUC has completed its review of the Application and finds that approval is warranted.

 

NOW THEREFORE pursuant to sections 59 to 61 of the Utilities Commission Act, the BCUC orders as follows:

 

1.       The BVA rate rider, effective January 1, 2020, in the amount of $0.019 per GJ for applicable rate schedules is approved.

2.       The RSAM rate rider, effective January 1, 2020 in the amount of $0.078 per GJ for applicable rate schedules is approved.

3.       FEI is directed to file revised tariff pages with the BCUC within 15 days of this order.
