Application for Approval of Rates and Agreement for Compressed Natural Gas Supply (CNG) from Burnaby Operations CNG Fueling Station for Vimar Equipment Ltd.

ORDER

WHEREAS:

 

A.      On November 27, 2019, FortisBC Energy Inc. (FEI) applied to the British Columbia Utilities Commission (BCUC), pursuant to sections 59 to 61 and 89 of the Utilities Commission Act (UCA), for approval of the rates, established in the fueling services agreement between FEI and Vimar Equipment Ltd. (Vimar) (FEI-Vimar Agreement), on an interim and permanent basis, effective December 1, 2019 (Application);

B.      On May 17, 2017, by Orders G-72-17 and G-73-17, the BCUC found that the Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) station located on FEI’s property in Burnaby, British Columbia (Burnaby Operations Fueling Station) met the requirements for a prescribed undertaking as defined by the Greenhouse Gas Reduction (Clean Energy) Regulation (GGRR);

C.      On November 22, 2019, FEI and Vimar entered into a fueling service agreement, which established the terms, conditions, and rates for Vimar to receive CNG fueling service at the Burnaby Operations Fueling Station; and

D.      The BCUC has reviewed the Application and determines that rates should be approved on a permanent basis.

 

NOW THEREFORE pursuant to sections 59 to 61 of the UCA, the BCUC orders as follows:

 

1.       The rates established in the FEI-Vimar Agreement are approved on a permanent basis, effective December 1, 2019;

2.       FEI is to file the FEI-Vimar Agreement in tariff supplement form for endorsement by the BCUC within 15 days of the date of this order.
