ORDER

WHEREAS:

A.      On May 29, 2020, British Columbia Hydro and Power Authority (BC Hydro) filed the 2020 Transfer Pricing Agreement (TPA) Application seeking an order from the British Columbia Utilities Commission (BCUC) accepting the 2020 TPA as filed under section 71 of the Utilities Commission Act (UCA)(Application);

B.      BC Hydro states the 2020 TPA came into effect on April 1, 2020, replacing the TPA for Electricity and Natural Gas dated April 1, 2003;

C.      By Order G-61-12 dated May 17, 2012, the BCUC established the Rules for Energy Supply Contracts (ESC) for Electricity (Rules). The Rules are intended to facilitate the BCUC’s review of ESCs and proposed ESCs for electricity; and

D.      The BCUC has commenced the review of the Application and considers that establishing a regulatory timetable for the review of the Application is warranted.

 

 

 

NOW THEREFORE the BCUC orders as follows:

 

1.       A written hearing process is established for the review of the Application in accordance with the regulatory timetable as set out in Appendix A of this order.

2.       By no later than Tuesday, June 23, 2020, BC Hydro is to publish the Application, this order and the regulatory timetable on its website and to provide a copy of the Application and this order to all interveners in the BC Hydro F2020 to F2021 Revenue Requirements Application proceeding and the BC Hydro Application for 2019 Letter Agreement with Powerex Corp. proceeding.

3.       In accordance with the BCUC’s Rules of Practice and Procedure, parties who wish to participate as interveners in the proceeding are to register with the BCUC by completing a Request to Intervene form by the date established in the regulatory timetable attached as Appendix A to this order.
