ORDER

WHEREAS:

A.      By Order G-10-19 dated January 17, 2019, the British Columbia Utilities Commission (BCUC) issued its decision in the FortisBC Energy Inc. (FEI) Application for Acceptance of 2019-2022 Demand Side Management (DSM) Expenditures Plan proceeding, approving, among other things, FEI’s request that funding transfers follow the same process as was established in the FEI 2012 and 2013 Revenue Requirements and Natural Gas Rates Decision;

B.      On October 16, 2020, FEI filed for approval to transfer $ 2.969 million into the Industrial Program Area in order to meet higher than anticipated demand, as FEI is expecting that actual Industrial expenditures will exceed 25 percent of planned expenditures at year-end (Application); and

C.      The Panel has commenced review of the Application and considers that establishing a regulatory timetable is warranted.

NOW THEREFORE the BCUC orders as follows:

1.       A written hearing process is established for the review of the Application in accordance with the regulatory timetable as set out in Appendix A of this order.

2.    FEI is to notify registered interveners in the 2019-2022 Demand Side Management Expenditures Plan proceeding and members of the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Advisory Group of the opportunity to provide letters of comment on the Application in accordance with the regulatory timetable. Letters of comment must be in the Letter of Comment Form available on the BCUC’s website at: https://www.bcuc.com/forms/letter-of-comment.aspx and submitted by email to commission.secretary@bcuc.com or by mail, courier to the British Columbia Utilities Commission, Suite 410, 900 Howe Street, Vancouver, BC, V6Z 2N3.
