ORDER

WHEREAS:

A.      On October 9, 2020, Pacific Northern Gas Ltd. (PNG) submitted an application to the British Columbia Utilities Commission (BCUC) pursuant to sections 45 and 46 of the Utilities Commission Act (UCA), seeking approval of a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity (CPCN) for the Salvus to Galloway Upgrade Project (Application);

B.      The Project involves the undertaking of significant remediation of the Salvus to Galloway section of the PNG Western Transmission Gas Line in order to align with current regulatory requirements and to ensure the continued safe, reliable delivery of natural gas to PNG customers;

C.      By Order G-288-20 dated November 6, 2020, the BCUC established a public hearing process for the review of the Application consisting of public notice, intervener registration, and one round of BCUC and intervener Information Requests (IRs) to PNG, and further process to be determined following PNG’s filing of responses to IR No. 1;

D.      In PNG IR responses dated January 14, 2021, PNG confirmed that Appendix N does not contain any confidential information and can be made public;

E.       The BCUC has reviewed PNG responses and considers the following determinations are warranted.

NOW THEREFORE the BCUC orders as follows:

1.       The BCUC establishes a further regulatory timetable, as set out in Appendix A to this order.

2.       PNG is to file a public version of Appendix N and related responses to Confidential BCUC IR 16.0 no later than Thursday, January 28, 2021.
