ORDER

WHEREAS:

 

A.      On December 7, 2022, Lake Okanagan Resort (LOR) filed with the British Columbia Utilities Commission (BCUC) its Electrical Distribution Assessment Report (LOR Assessment Report) prepared by Falcon Engineering;

B.      By Order G-41-23 (Order) dated March 1, 2023, the BCUC established a public hearing process and a regulatory timetable for the review of the LOR Assessment Report (Hearing). In the Order, the BCUC directed LOR to provide notice of the Hearing to its customers; provide confirmation of compliance with notice requirements; provide proof of notice to the BCUC; submit a plan to the BCUC addressing the LOR Assessment Report, with further process to be determined at a later date;

C.      On March 29, 2023, LOR filed a request to extend the regulatory timetable, citing that due to a clerical error, it was unable to meet the deadlines outlined in the Order (Extension Request);

D.      By Order G-71-23 dated March 31, 2023, the BCUC accepted the Extension Request and amended the regulatory timetable;

E.       The BCUC has not received confirmation of compliance with notice requirements or proof of notice from LOR as set out in the regulatory timetable in Order G-71-23; and

F.       The BCUC considers an amendment to the regulatory timetable is warranted such that further process will be established after the April 27, 2023 deadline when LOR is required to submit a plan addressing the LOR Assessment Report to the BCUC.

 

 

NOW THEREFORE the BCUC orders an amended regulatory timetable is established as outlined in Appendix A to this order.
