Housekeeping Amendment to Industrial Service – Rate Schedule 4 Tariff

ORDER

WHEREAS:

 

A.        On January 29, 2024, Pacific Northern Gas Ltd. and Pacific Northern Gas (N.E.) Ltd. (PNG) filed tariff pages to document and incorporate references to rate changes approved by the British Columbia Utilities Commission (BCUC), in accordance with Orders G-297-23, G-305-23, G-339-23, G-346-23, G-347-23 and G-19-24. The filing also included a request for a housekeeping amendment to PNG’s Industrial Service – Rate Schedule 4 Tariff and endorsement by the BCUC (Request);

B.        On October 31, 2023, the BCUC issued Order G-297-23, regarding PNG’s 2023-2024 Revenue Requirement Application for the PNG-West service area and establishing interim basic charges, delivery rates and the RSAM rate ride on an interim basis, effective January 1, 2024;

C.        On November 10, 2023, the BCUC issued Order G-305-23, regarding PNG’s 2023-2024 Revenue Requirements Application for the PNG(NE) Fort St. John/Dawson Creek and Tumbler Ridge service areas and establishing interim basic charges, delivery rates and RSAM rate riders on an interim basis effective January 1, 2024;

D.        On December 11, 2023, the BCUC issued Order G-339-23 and the accompanying decision, approving the PNG-West division 2023-2024 Revenue Requirements Application;

E.         On December 14, 2023, the BCUC issued Order G-346-23, regarding PNG’s 2023 Fourth Quarter Report on Gas Supply Costs for the PNG-West and Granisle service areas and commodity rate changes approved for the PNG-West and Granisle service areas, effective January 1, 2024;

F.         On December 14, 2023, the BCUC issued Order G-347-23, regarding PNG’s 2023 Fourth Quarter Report on Gas Supply Costs for the PNG(NE) Fort St. John/Dawson Creek and Tumbler Ridge service areas and commodity rate changes approved for the Fort St. John/Dawson Creek and Tumbler Ridge service areas, effective January 1, 2024;

G.        On January 22, 2024, the BCUC issued Order G-19-24 and the accompanying decision approving the PNG(NE) Fort St. John/Dawson Creek and Tumbler Ridge division 2023-2024 Revenue Requirements Application;

H.        On January 29, 2024, PNG filed tariff pages for rate changes effective January 1, 2024, in accordance with Orders G-297-23, G-305-23, G-346-23, G-347-23 and G-19-24 and included a request for endorsement of a housekeeping amendment to its Industrial Service – Rate Schedule 4 tariff page. PNG states it has made a change to the wording on the availability of this rate schedule, clarifying that the rate schedule is not available in the Tumbler Ridge service area; and

I.           The BCUC has reviewed PNG’s Request and considers that acceptance of the housekeeping amendment to the Industrial Service – Rate Schedule 4 Tariff, is warranted.

 

NOW THEREFORE pursuant to sections 61-63 of the Utilities Commission Act, the BCUC orders as follows:

 

1.         PNG’s request for acceptance and endorsement of the housekeeping amendment to the Industrial Service – Rate Schedule 4 Tariff, is approved, effective the date of this order.

2.         The tariff pages included with the Request are accepted for filing.
