IN THE MATTER OF

and
FortisBC Inc.
Discontinue Specific Reporting Requirements in Annual Reports
BEFORE:
B. A. Magnan, Commissioner
on April 9, 2024
ORDER
WHEREAS:
B. On August 14, 2020, the BCUC issued Decision and Order G-216-20, regarding FBC’s Application for Approval of Tariff Changes to Permit Relief for Customers Under Evacuation Orders. The Decision and Order directs FBC to separately track revenue variances associated with evacuation relief granted in the FBC flow-through deferral account, and to report this variance to the BCUC as part of its Annual Report;
C. The Affiliated Transactions Report has been included as part of FBC’s Annual Reports to the BCUC since 2014, to align with FortisBC Energy Inc.’s (FEI) filing of a similar Affiliated Transactions Report in FEI’s Annual Report to the BCUC;
D. In the Application, FEI requests to discontinue filing these two reports, because the information contained in the reports is redundant and of diminished relevance; and
E. The BCUC has reviewed the Application and considers that approval is warranted.
NOW THEREFORE pursuant to section 99 of the Utilities Commission Act, the BCUC orders as follows:
FBC’s request to discontinue the inclusion of the following two reports in its Annual Report to the BCUC is approved, effective the date of this Order:
1. Evacuation Granted (pursuant to Order G-216-20, Directive 4); and
2. Affiliated Transactions Report.
DATED at the City of Vancouver, in the Province of British Columbia, this 9th day of April 2024.
