on April 16, 2024
ORDER
WHEREAS:
A. On November 30, 2023, Wyse Meter Solutions Inc. (Wyse) filed an application (Application) with the British Columbia Utilities Commission (BCUC), seeking, among other things, approval of permanent rates for submetering services provided under the Utilities Commission Act;
B. On January 4, 2024 by Order G-1-24, the BCUC established a regulatory timetable to conduct a review of the Application which included, among other things, public notice, intervener registration, and BCUC and intervener information requests (IRs). The scope of the proceeding was limited to the specific circumstances of Wyse and the Application, and not submetering more broadly;
C. On March 27, 2024 by Order G-92-24, the BCUC established a further regulatory timetable for BCUC and Intervener IR No. 2, final argument, and reply argument;
D. By letter dated April 15, 2024, Wyse requested a 15 business day extension to the deadline to respond to BCUC and Intervener IR No. 2, and an additional 5 business day extension to the deadline for final argument given the nature of the questions posed in IR No. 2 and the availability of key staff; and
E. The BCUC has reviewed Wyse’s request and determines that an amendment to the regulatory timetable is warranted. Parties are reminded of the scope established for this proceeding in Order G-1-24.
NOW THEREFORE the BCUC orders that the regulatory timetable established by Order G-92-24 is amended as set out in Appendix A to this order.
DATED at the City of Vancouver, in the Province of British Columbia, this 16th day of April 2024.
